FAQ

Proper preparation and aftercare help ensure the best results while keeping your skin healthy and supported.

Pre-Treatment Care

Please prepare your skin by following these guidelines:

• Avoid exfoliating products (acids, retinoids, scrubs) for 5 days
• Avoid waxing or shaving the treatment area for 5 days
• Wait at least 2 weeks after Botox or filler injections before treatment
• Avoid direct sun exposure for 48 hours prior to your appointment
• Drink plenty of water to keep skin hydrated

Post-Treatment Care

After your treatment, allow your skin time to recover:

• Avoid active ingredients (acids, retinoids, scrubs) for 5 days • Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours • Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily • Mild shedding or flaking may occur — do not touch, pick, or peel • If possible: skip makeup for 24 hours, clean makeup brushes, and wash

While we will perform a signature double-cleanse as part of your ritual, arriving with little to no makeup is appreciated. This allows us more time to focus on your in-depth skin analysis and the treatment itself. But no need to go out of your way if that’s not practical!

• Botox & Fillers: Please wait 2 weeks after injections before scheduling a facial. Injectables can typically be performed the day after a facial.

• Massage: If booking both services, we recommend scheduling massage before your facial so freshly treated skin is not placed face-down or coming into contact with external surfaces afterward, allowing it time to rest and breathe.

• Hair Appointments: Hair services are generally safe anytime. Please use caution with chemical services near the hairline if your skin has been recently exfoliated or treated.

• Waxing/Threading: Schedule hair removal at least 1 week before or after facial treatments to help prevent irritation or sensitivity.

You don’t need to bring the physical products, but having a list or photos of your morning and evening routines is extremely helpful. This allows us to identify ingredient conflicts and create a more effective, sustainable plan for your skin.

Wear something comfortable! Since our rituals include a transformative facial massage that extends to the neck and décolleté, we provide wrap-around spa wraps to ensure your clothing is protected and you are fully relaxed.

Advanced resurfacing cannot be performed on sunburned skin, open wounds, or active cold sores. Pregnancy, recent shaving or waxing, retinoid use, exfoliants, and topical prescriptions may also affect treatment eligibility. If you are currently taking Accutane or have within the last six months, please provide a physician’s clearance note so we can safely customize your treatment.

While you will leave your first facial with a noticeable "glow," true skin transformation happens over time. Because we work with your skin’s natural 28-40 day cycle, the best results are typically seen after a series of 3–6 treatments paired with the recommended home-care regimen.
